Assistant Professors Chad Jenkins and Meinolf Sellmann have been selected to receive one of Brown's highly competitive Salomon Awards. The $30,000 grant will support research projects in time-critical decision making and robot learning from demonstration. Their research in this area will be applied to the robot soccer domain through participation in the Robocup competition this summer. The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) has recognized 34 of its members for their contributions to both the practical and theoretical aspects of computing and information technology. The new ACM Fellows, from some of the world’s leading industries, research labs, and universities made significant advances that are having lasting effects on the lives of citizens throughout the world.
