The Fall/Winter 2005 issue of Conduit, the computer science department's research and alumni magazine, received an Excellence Award at the annual Gallery of Printing & Design Awards Banquet and Vendor Show at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The event is sponsored by the Graphic Communications Industry of Rhode Island and the Providence Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA) and attracts printing and design professionals throughout southeastern New England.
Eric Robinson, Executive Director of the Graphic Communications Industry of Rhode Island, stated that over 200 submissions were evaluated by a regional panel of judges, with less than ten percent earning awards.
The award-winning issue, which can be viewed online at www.cs.brown.edu/publications/conduit/, was produced and designed by Laura Zurowski of the computer science department, John deWolf of Public Information Design, and American Printing of Rumford, RI.
