Professor of Computer Science Stan Zdonik was named a 2006 ACM Fellow for his contributions to data management and database systems.
The award, which was announced on January 8th, honors contributions to both the practical and theoretical aspects of computing and information technology. For 2006, 41 ACM members were awarded the designation of Fellow with nine being members of the database community.
